William C. Rasmussen

William C. Rasmussen
Born in Hawaii before it became a state, William “Bill” Rasmussen eventually secured employment with the Federal Government and was forced to relocate to the “Big Apple” in 1981. After a stint of almost eleven years in NYC, he was transferred to the mid-south, landing in Memphis, TN. He finally retired in 2004, after more than twenty-four years of service in the federal government. Returning in late 2010 to his first love–writing horror fiction—he has since had more than two dozen tales of horror published both online and in print magazines.

A collection of Bill’s short horror fiction, Claw Marks & Other Disturbing Diversions, was published in digital format by Crossroad Press in late 2010. His novella, Infinity Twice Removed, co-written with Michael McBride, was published in HC and digital format by Delirium Books in December of 2011. A self-published novella entitled, Turning It Around, was released in Kindle format on Amazon in late 2012. His two-novelette package, The Silent Passenger/Rift, was published in TPB and Kindle format by Gallows Press in September of 2013. Lastly, his novella, Essence of Amy, was published in HC by Camelot Books, as part of their Deluxe Chapbook Series, in March of 2015.

This collection’s titular tale was written following the sixteen month return of Bill’s youngest son, Ellis, who stayed with his father and stepmom while he attended classes at the University of Memphis. Bill is extremely happy that Ellis did not engage in any of the disturbing and despicable acts that the boarder in his novella did!

Bill currently resides on the outskirts of Memphis with his loving and supportive wife, Suzette. Together, they have six fully grown children, who no longer “board” with them.
