Tom Cassidy

Tom Cassidy was born in 1942 and graduated from the University of Northern Iowa. He subsequently joined the US Navy, served on several ships, and then he began a career as a naval intelligence officer, which encompassed the Vietnam War, the American hostage crisis in Iran, the US Invasion of Grenada, the Falkland Islands War, and other significant military events around the world. One particularly memorable assignment was in the Republic of Singapore where he was assistant US naval attaché, and thus became the inspiration for this book. He divides his time now between La Jolla, California, and Sunrise Beach, Missouri, with family and friends—often seen with a fishing pole, golf club, or deer rifle in hand.
